Q: What does it take to maintain an artifical green?
A: Maintenance to the turf is minimal. An occasional brooming is recommended, but not necessary. Sweeping will stand the fibers up and even out the infill materials. Debris like leaves and twigs can be easily removed with a leaf blower or broom. Take care that the leaf blower nozzle is not placed too close to the turf. The infill will stay in place while the debris is blown away. Ask about our maintenance service plans to ensure the least work to you and best quality turf.
Q: Will rain or snow hurt my artificial green?
A: The drainage of turf greens is very similar to that of natural grass. The turf backing has perforated holes which allow the water to drain into the ground below.
Q: Can my dog play on the turf?
A: Almost nothing can harm your artificial turf practice green. We also install synthetic turf strictly for dog runs or other areas where you want to keep your pets clean and your yard intact. Pet waste is not a problem as it absorbs into the infill and eventually evaporates or washes away with rain. You may also spray the soiled area with a hose.
Q: Will my turf green color fade?
A: The long term effect of the sun does not harm the turf or make it fade. The fibers have a UV protection coating and can withstand the damaging affects of sun, heat, wind, snow and ice. Not to mention the fact that you will always have the greenest area as your turf green will not brown in winter or during draught.
Q: Do artificial turf greens come with a Warranty?
A: All turf green come with a limited 10 year warranty; however, the actual life expectancy of any artificial green is up to 25 years.
Q: What can harm my synthetic turf?
A: Fire will damage the synthetic turf. Fireworks should be kept as far away from synthetic turf as possible. Cigars and cigarettes should be handled very carefully around the synthetic turf.
